Why Lumenea exists

The puzzle category has been dominated for decades by generic images, mass market pricing, and disposable packaging. Beautiful original art rarely makes it into the medium and when it does, it's usually produced without the artist's involvement, on materials that collectors would never display, sold at prices that don't support the maker.

Lumenea was founded to close that gap. Every edition begins with a living artist and their original painting. Every edition is limited to 500 numbered copies. Every edition is laser-cut from sustainably sourced hardwood, delivered in packaging designed to be kept. Every certificate of authenticity is numbered by hand. The artist is credited prominently and compensated fairly. The collector receives something they can live with, frame, or pass down.

To Artists

We pay artists fairly, credit them prominently, and respect their ownership. Every edition is licensed, not commissioned work-for-hire. Artists retain full rights to their original paintings and prints.

To Collectors

Every edition is genuinely limited. When 500 are gone, the edition closes permanently. No reprints, no second runs, no digital versions sold later. Your numbered copy stays rare.

Lumenea was built on a simple observation: the puzzle category has been dominated for decades by disposable products that nobody keeps. Generic images, paper pieces, packaging destined for recycling. Brilliant original art rarely makes it into the medium, and when it does, artists are rarely credited or fairly paid.

I started Lumenea to build the opposite. Every edition features one living artist in collaboration with Lumenea, reproduced in 500 numbered wooden copies, cut from sustainably sourced hardwood, delivered in packaging made to be kept. When 500 sell, the edition closes forever. No reprints, no second runs, no compromise.
